Jose "Joe" Villalobos

March 13, 1974 — October 24, 2024

Jose "Joe" Villalobos, a man whose personality and love for others was too great to measure in words, passed away on the night of October 24, 2024.

Joe was preceded in death by his Grandfather Antonio Villalobos, Grandmother Antonia Villalobos, Aunt Marta Martinez, Uncle Mickey Keller, Aunt Lynn Keller, Uncle Kenny Aragon and Cousin Lisette (Liz) Archuleta.

He is survived by his mother Olga Byland, Daughters Teresa (Spouse Samuel) Moreno and Angelina Villalobos. Grandchildren Aviannah, Mario, Eliud, Esmeralda and Ariel. Brother Tony (Spouse Tanya) Villalobos and Gilbert Villalobos. Sister Angelic Villalobos. Nieces Rebecca, Tess, Dajah and Lyryc. Nephews Mythias and Jerimiah. Partner In Life Irene Quintana Commins.

Born on March 13, 1974, Joe was a robust baby, tipping the scales at almost 11 pounds, and he carried that strength and presence throughout his 50 years of life. Joe had a passion for being outdoors, fishing and camping with those he loved. He lived most of his life in New Mexico while spending time in Colorado. His heart was always called back home to the place of his roots and the place of his most cherished memories, Albuquerque NM.

Joe loved his family deeply, especially his daughters and grandchildren who adored him. Being with them building bonds and making memories that will last a lifetime. He had many talents and skills for which he used to help others. He was a true jack of all trades. His love for lowrider cars and motorcycles was matched only by his dedication to his faith. Living for God and guiding others toward the Lord's light was Joe's ultimate calling, a mission he took pride in. He spoke to everyone and anyone no matter their status or where they were in life.

Joe's musical tastes were unique and ever changing as he was. From Rock n Roll all the way to Country and the many genres and eras in between. Never shy about dancing for a crowd or being the life of the party with his closest friends and family. As much as he enjoyed listening to different music he also loved watching The Dallas Cowboys play. But, no matter the occasion or time Joe was always found wearing his Cowboy hat and boots.

Described by those who knew him as loving, funny, and spirited, Joe's legacy is one of warmth, laughter, and an unshakeable faith. His absence will be felt deeply by all who were fortunate enough to know him, but the echoes of his vibrant spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family, friends, and the city he loved so deeply.

As we say our final goodbyes to Joe let us remember his laugh and love for people and God. Let us remember the good times and cherish the moments that we were able to have with him. Let us not take for granted those we still have with us today and while we have our loved ones with us on earth remember that it’s not late to reach out, to say I love you or I’m sorry. Let us be quick to forgive and never judge off appearance.
