Josie Martinez Montoya

Josie Martinez Montoya died August 5, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her parents: Adela Martinez and Ramon Martinez; children: Paula Cuellar, Leroy Montoya, and Raymond Cuellar; son-in-law, Diego Gonzales and sister, Mary Maldonado.

Mrs. Martinez Montoya is survived by her husband of 48 years, Raymond Montoya; daughters: Debbie Thornton and husband Danny and Lorraine D. Gonzales; brother, Lawrence Martinez; sisters: Julia Ruiz and Patrick Ruiz; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lorissa Lopez, Miranda Gonzales, Angelo Ruiz, Patrick Ruiz, Mario Ruiz, Michael Gonzales, James Lopez, Gabriel Lopez, Isaac Lopez, Eric and Makaylah Manzanares, Marissa and Alyssa Torres, and Crystal Manzanares. Pallbearers will be Eric Manzanares, Diego Gonzales, Fernando Gonzales, Leroy Gonzales, Aaron Martinez, and Lawrence Martinez.

Josie worked many years for the Horn family and will be greatly missed.

Josie's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Salazar Mortuary at 4:00 pm followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 9, 2019 at 9:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 309 Stover SW  87102 followed by a Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
