J.R. passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021.

He is preceded in death by his father Severo Rael and mother Gabriella Chavez.

J.R. is survived by his former wife and life long friend Joanna Rael; son Jerry Rael; daughters: Christine Vigil (Leonard), Elizabeth Rael; four grandchildren: Shania Rael, Tiana Rael, Eli Vigil, Mason Vigil; and sisters: Emma Lopez, Emily Burford.

J.R. love traveling the country by highway and jamming out to great music. He loved nice cars, classic and modern cars were what caught his eye the most. He liked to eat good food, New Mexican food was his favorite.

J.R.'s Life Celebration will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 at 6:30 pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 third St SW, 87102.
