Juan Esteban Corona, 61 left to be with Lord on Thursday, May 26, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Maximilian Corona, Pauline Zengerle, Manuel and Frances Valdez, and brother Alfonso Corona, Jr.
Juan is survived by his daughters: Angelina Corona, Victoriana Sanchez and husband Steve; precious grand babies who lovingly called him “Grumpy”: Isabella Leyba, Estevan Sanchez, Elijah Leyba, Zachariah Sanchez, Rosalie Leyba, Isaiah Sanchez; loving parents Alfonso Corona, Sr. and Marie Corona, sisters: Lorine Colmenero, Frances Edwards; as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Juan was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, friend and colleague. Juan graduated from Rio Grande High School in 1979. He retired from Albuquerque Public Schools after 25 years. He was currently working as a custodian through the City of Albuquerque for the Sunport. Juan was known for his love of the Lord, camping, fishing, baseball, and his kickboxing moves. He was a lover of old Western movies and Rock and Roll. Juan devoted his life to raising his children and making sure everyone around him was taken care of. He was the definition of an unselfish, hardworking, respectable man. Juan will be wholeheartedly missed by all who knew him.
Juan’s Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 2:00pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW, 87102. with a Viewing at 2:00 p.m. Service will begin at at 3:30 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m.
