Kay is survived by daughters and their families: Kim (David), granddaughters: Valerie (Eric), great-granddaughters: Taya, Cheyenne, Olivia, great-grandsons: Julio, Julian; Nicole (Andres), granddaughter Valeria, grandsons: Benicio, Thiago, stepson Woody (Lori), and loving son Brian. She is also survived by her siblings and their families: brothers: Gary and Dee Dee, Keith and Zanne, sister Gaylene and Earl, and a special sister-in-law Pam.

Kay was born on October 31, 1946, in Bucyrus, Ohio. In her younger years, she loved going to the casino with Ralph, attending Lobo’s basketball and football games and loved going to Las Vegas for the Mountain West tournament. She also enjoyed going to different breweries with her husband and siblings.

Above all, Kay’s most significant achievement was her family. She embraced her role as a grandmother with all her heart, finding joy in the laughter and smiles of her grandchildren.

Kay’s life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. She was a woman of resilience and caring, always ready to extend a hand or share a word of encouragement. She could be onery but as onery as she could be her love for her family far surpassed it. She had a boundless capacity for love, forgiveness, and joy for her grandchildren.

As we bid farewell to Kay Francine Garcia, we celebrate a life lived with passion, a heart filled with love, and a spirit that was truly one of a kind. She leaves behind a legacy of joy, a family that adores her and a world that is infinitely brighter for having been graced by her presence. Kay’s memory will continue to shine in the hearts of her loved ones and her stories will be told with fondness and laughter for generations to come.

Kay’s Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 2:00pm at Reflections Chapel located at 2400 Washington St NE, 87110. A reception will follow at her house, to show off her new floors. She will be laid to rest with Ralph at a later date.
