Larry L. Anaya

Larry L. Anaya, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the age of 72.

He is preceded in death by his father Arturo Anaya, mother Phyllis Garcia Anaya, daughter Lori Ann Sandoval, brother Arthur Tuddie Anaya.

Larry is survived by his wife of 43 years Esperanza (Hope) Anaya; daughter Evelina Griego; son Danny Sandoval; great grandson raised as his son Elijah Gurule; granddaughter raised as his daughter Jessica Sandival; brother Richard Anaya; sisters: Cathie Moya (Joe), Sandra Ortiz (Santo); 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was honorably discharged from the United States Army. He served during the Vietnam era. He retired from General Electric (GE) after 35 years. Larry spent his leisure time custom remolding his home with his wife, collected antique tools, building model ships and carving beautifully crafted walking canes. He was an avid Dodgers and Cowboys fan.

Larry's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 5:00 pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW, 87102. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm. Larry will be laid to rest on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 10:30 am at Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N Guadalupe St. Santa Fe, NM 87501.

Pallbearers will be Elijah Gurule, Richard Moya, Juan J.J. Ortiz, Paul Cordova, Angel Melendez, and Rodney Lopez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jessica Sandoval and Maria Helena Lopez.
