Larry lived life to fullest, loved to dance, and listened to music constantly. He married Viola on January 7, 1970 and he loved living with her in Albuquerque’s North Valley. He always maintained a garden of green chile and veggies. He was a jokester that often had kids in the family looking for the ever elusive “Snipe.” He played basketball until after midnight with any niece, nephew, or his own five kids that would join him in the backyard. He loved camping and fishing and worked for over 30 years as a carpenter and foreman. His work ethic taught his children everything they needed to know about providing for family and he was always a role model that his nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren could look up to. All 5 of his children depended on his sound advice and always appreciated that he never “told” us what to do but instead helped us to decide for ourselves. He loved coaching and teaching kids to play basketball and often coached extended family and his own kids. He was a tough coach and expected a lot but there was a lot of cariño in his sports and life lessons. He treasured family and we all felt individually special in his presence. His family was his pride and joy and he was cherished by his children, wife, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters and his whole extended family.
