Leo Hollins, Sr. age 84 of Olney, Texas, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 in Olney.
Mr. Hollins was born on November 7, 1931 in Gilmer, Texas to Albert and Flora (Duncan) Hollins. He married Dorothy J. Powdrell on September 30, 1953 in Midland, Texas. He graduated from UNM in 1975 with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. He was a Vocational Coordinator for Goowill Services in Albuquerque for over 18 years. Leo enjoyed and was very good at Crappie fishing.
Survivors include: His Wife: Dorothy J. Hollins of Olney, Texas; Two Sons: Leo Hollins, Jr. and his wife Liz of Albuquerque, and Christopher Hollins also of Albuquerque; Two Daughters: Janet Breckenridge of Albuquerque and Marla Hollins of Tucson, Arizona: One Sister; Dorothy McGruder of Midland, Texas: Six Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren along with a Special Friend, Roy Clifton of Albuquerque: Two God Sons; Mark Pike and Stewart Ingham, Jr. both of Albuquerque.Leo was also "Grandfather" to 17 other special children.
Leo's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Monday, 30, 2016 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Reflections Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Reflections Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop J.W. Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Reflections Funeral Home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
