Leroy W. Perea

Wilfred "Leroy" Perea ( "Super Dad"), age 66 born in Los Lunas, NM to Jose and Juanita Perea, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 9, 2020 in the comfort of his home and surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Leroy is survived by his wife of 47 years Terry who cared and comforted him to the very end.  He is survived by his 5 children. Leroy "Roy", wife Liz; Ray, wife Yolanda; Valerie, husband Andrew; Jose, wife Celina; and  Juanito "Juan", wife Theresa.  Siblings, Theresa Aragon, husband Pat; Ernesto "Ernie" Perea and Marvin Perea.  Grandchildren Amanda, husband Diego; Isaiah; Amaya; Ava; Mario; Desiree, Marianna, Daniella and Anastasia; Great Grandchildren Adonica, Jordan and Addison.  Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, God-children, and close childhood friends Los Candelarias.

Besides his first love Terry, he loved and adored his grandchildren.  He was affectionately known by them as “Tata”.  He loved spending time with them, each one having a very special memory of the time they spent together.  He enjoyed woodworking, camping and fishing.  Many good memories of times spent camping with family and friends in Pecos.  He had a favorite camping spot by the big rock next to the Pecos River in Terrero.

He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, his generosity and always being willing to help anyone in need.

Leroy's Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 11:00 am at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW, 87102.
