Lorenza Inez Sanchez

Lorenza Inez Sanchez, 78, passed away in her home on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

Lorenza is preceded in death by her parents: Delfino and Ramona Salas and sister Helen Chavez.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Magdaleno Sanchez; four children: Ernestina (Joey), Stephine (Peter), Margaret (Martin), Matthew (Mona); eight grandchildren: Monique (Juan), Victorya (Shawn), Mariah, Mercedes, Alexandria, Mathew, Katiana, Sierra (Marcus); and four great-grandchildren: Alejandro, Lillyana, Juan Pablo, and Elena.

Lorenza was born on January 21, 1943 in Abo, New Mexico. She had a love for travel and meeting new people. Those who were lucky enough to know her were instantly considered family and all were welcomed with open arms. She was her family’s biggest support and she encouraged them to pursue their dreams. Lorenza lived by the Sanchez motto: “Greet with hello, visit with happiness, leave with food, Sanchez with love.”

Lorenza's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary to be recited on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 9:30 am at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church located at 5311 Phoenix Ave NE, 87110. Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will be MONDAY, January 31, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N Guadalupe St Santa Fe, 87501.

Pallbearers will be Juan Lugo, Shawn Lett, Matthew Sanchez, Marcus Encinias and Alejandro Lugo.
