Louis Espinoza, 79, went home with our Lord Jesus on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
He is preceded in death by his brothers: Arthur Salazar, Mel Salazar, Placido Salazar, Sir Don Baca, Carlos Salazar, Paul Salazar, Robert Salazar, Lee Normal Gonzalez, Vicente Padilla
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Helen Espinoza; 2 children: Louis Patrick Espinoza (3/17/69-8/1/11) and Donna Canales (Tomas); 2 grandchildren: Sandra Canales, Steven Canales; siblings: Viola Baca, Dolores Saiz, Margaret Padilla-Ruiz, Diane Gonzales, Rosie Padilla, Tony Lucero, Dora Flores, Napo Lovato, Richard Lovato, Lalo Lovato, Irene Lovato, Linda Romero, Peter Lovato, Carlos Lovato, Leo Lovato, Nancy Trujillo, Lucy Vigil and Rosie Garduno.
Louis was born in Bernal, New Mexico on September 17, 1942 to Juan Padilla and Isidora Olivas. He is one of 15 children. He married into the Lovato family and was blessed with loving parents, Genoveno and Stella Lovato and won the love of 13 more siblings. His life's work was as a paint engineer with Wellborn Paint Company where he worked for 35 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, singing and gambling. He was a loving father, husband and brother and everyone who knew him loved his wisdom, generosity and grace.
He will be greatly missed by this family, friends and all who knew him.
Louis' Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 8:30 am at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW, 87102. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am also at Salazar Mortuary. Mass will begin at 10:30 am at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church located at 8301 Camino San Martin SW, 87121. Louis will be laid to rest following the Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102.
Pallbearers will be Ronny Lovato, Sr., Ronny Lovato, Jr., Joshua Saiz, Steven Canales, Tomas Canales, Henry Vigil.
