Lucille S. Carrillo

Lucille (Sprunk) Carrillo, 87, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 22, 2023, in Estancia, New Mexico.

Lucille is preceded in by death by her parents Joe and Josefita Sprunk; husband Arnold Carrillo; daughter Isabel Carrillo; sister Opal Garcia and 5 sisters who passed at birth; brother Joe Sprunk Jr.; grandchild Robert "Bobby" Carrillo and great grandchild Harmani Carrillo.

Lucille is survived by sons: Ted Carrillo and wife Tina, Joseph Carrillo; daughter Mary Carrillo and fiancé James Pierce; grandchildren: Christopher "Chris" Carrillo, Jose "Hoser" Carrillo, Izabella "Bell" Slater, Derrick Carrillo, Matthew Carrillo; great-grandchildren: Brysen Carrillo, Ayden Carrillo and Daemon Carrillo.

Lucille was born in Algodones NM in 1935; grew up in Martinez town of Albuquerque NM. Lucille met and married Arnold Carrillo her life partner in 1958. They raised their children in Albuquerque, NM. Lucille worked for and retired from Civil service on Kirkland AFB. Lucille spent most of the rest of her life helping her family in their struggles with their life’s challenges. Lucille spent the remainder of her life in the Estancia Valley, enjoying the slower pace of life and wonderful people.

Lucille loved her family very much and will be missed dearly by all who knew her and that beautiful smile. Dios te bendiga Mama.

Lucille's life celebration will begin with a visitation on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 5:00 pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW, 87102. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm. Communion service will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church located at 811 Guyamas Place NE, 87108. Lucille will be laid to rest with her husband Arnold at 1:30 pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N Guadalupe St, 87051.
