Lugie A. Espinoza, a beacon of love and dedication, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the age of 87, in Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her father Serapio Jaramillo, mother Elisa Jaramillo, sisters: Flora Baca, Isabelle Jaramillo, Linda Jaramillo, brothers: Eloy Jaramillo, Larry Jaramillo, grandchildren: Robbie Gabaldon, and Christopher Stearns.
Lugie is survived by her brothers: Luis Jaramillo (wife Josie), Bernardo Jaramillo, Serapio Jaramillo, Jr., Ralph Jaramillo; sisters: Lucy Bachicha, Faye Trujillo, Lorraine Tafoya; daughter Susie Gabaldon, sons: Charlie Stearns, James Espinoza (wife Luanna); grandchildren: Carlos Stearns, Erica Pullem, Joseph Dorrance, Jazmine Espinoza, Arianna Espinoza, Malakai Espinoza; great-grandchildren Nathanial Siperly, Seth Stearns, Elyna Jean Pullem, Jonathan Jack Pullem, also many nieces and nephews.
Born on February 4, 1937, Lugie's life was a testament to the joy of simple pleasures and the profound impact of caring for others.
Lugie's early years were filled with the laughter of family gatherings and the warmth of shared meals. Her love for casino outings, and the thrill of playing Bingo, and sharing her favorite meal of pancakes and bacon became cherished traditions among friends and family.
Above all, Lugie was a devoted caretaker. Her unwavering commitment to her parents, siblings, and children was the cornerstone of her life. The love and care she bestowed upon them were immeasurable and will remain a guiding light for generations to come.
Professionally, Lugie's strong work ethic was evident in her years of service at General Electric. Her retirement from G.E. marked the end of a distinguished career, but also the beginning of more time spent with loved ones and indulging in her favorite pastimes.
Those who knew Lugie will remember her as the epitome of awesomeness—her loving nature and caring demeanor enriched the lives of all who crossed her path. Lugie's legacy is one of boundless love, selfless care, and the joy of life's simple moments.
Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of her family and friends, who will continue to be inspired by her extraordinary life. Lugie's presence will be deeply missed, but the light of her spirit will never fade.
Lugie’s Life Celebration will begin with a Viewing on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 9:30am at Salazar Mortuary located 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Rosary will be recited at 10:00am. Service will begin at 10:30am. Lugie will be laid to rest following the Service at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd. NE, 87102.
Pallbearers will be Carlos Stearns, Joseph Dorrance, Malakai Espinoza, Eloy Jaramillo, Diego Baca, and Bernie Jaramillo.
