Manuel Aragon Jr

Vietnam Army SP4 Manuel Aragon Jr. entered Gods Army on Thursday April 13, 2017 surrounded by his loved ones.

Manuel was preceded in death by his wife Frieda Martinez-Aragon, his son Paul Aragon, his Parents Manuel and Elvira Aragon.
He is survived by his son Mark Aragon and companion Lola Ortega, His sisters Lorraine and husband Jorge Ibuado of Los Lunas, NM, Linda and husband John Free of Las Vegas, NV, Brother Benny Orona of Los Lunas, NM, Nephew/Brother Donnie and Wife Crystal Blea of Las Vegas, NV. Grandchildren, Carlo, Gabrielle, Johnathon Aragon, Great Grandchild Carlo Aragon Jr. Step-Grandchildren, Jacob, Andrew and Juliann Lucero, Celine and Mya Atencio. Also, surviving Manuel are many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Manuel a 1967 Graduate of Albuquerque High. Shortly after graduation Manuel joined the United States Army during the Vietnam War "Boots on the Ground" he earned several medals including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device, he was Honorably Discharged in 1970 after serving 3 years of duty with the US Army. Manuel suffered at length the invisible wounds of war.

Manuel's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Salazar Mortuary followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. also at Salazar Mortuary. Burial will follow Services at 10:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Please join the family for a Reception following Burial at Mark Aragon's residence.
