Marcelino V. Romo

January 27, 1929 — July 13, 2016

Marcelino V. Romo, 87, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, July 13, 2016.

He is preceded in death by his wife, of 55 years, Lucy Romo.
Marcelino is survived by his son Mark Romo and wife Nanette; daughters Sylvia Wert, Juanita Martinez and husband Michael, Terry Romo, and Patty Yancey and husband Roy; sister Lucinda Sanchez; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Marcelino owned and operated a Barber Shop in Vaughn and Santa Rosa. He also worked as a Barber in Albuquerque.

Marcelino's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, located on Arizona St. SE, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Final Viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. also at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, followed by a Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow Services at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael Martinez, Joshua Martinez, Matthew Wert, Christopher Tafoya, Nick Yancey, and Adam Yancey.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tara Yancey and Mark Romo Jr.
