Maria M. Perez

Maria M. Perez, 60, a beloved mother, daughter, sister and aunt, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, July 4, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her father Celedonio Jaramillo Sr., brothers; Michael Jaramillo, Celedonio Jaramillo Jr., Jack Jaramillo Sr. and David Jaramillo.

She is survived by her 3 sons; Michael Joe Perez, his wife Shoshana and children Destiny, David, Michaela and Ariella, Anthony Perez, his wife Angel and children Alyssa, Antonio and Angelo, Steven Perez and wife Nicole. Maria is also survived by her mother, Juanita Inez Jaramillo and her 3 sisters; Josie Monia and husband Harold Sr., Helen Jaramillo and Gloria Jaramillo.

She loved and was loved by a countless number of nieces, nephews and neighborhood friends. Along with being accepting of everyone she came in to contact with, Maria was a mother figure to many and welcomed all into her home with open arms. Through all the difficult times in her life, she made all things possible. Providing a safe place to stay, a warm meal to eat or just an ear to listen. She was the constant in many lives that were unstable. She loved her children, but her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She loved to share stories of her childhood with siblings and family of all ages. To hear her say "Happy Donkey Day" would brighten the day of anyone who heard it. When said to her it brought a joyous smile and an infectious laugh. It was her way of reminding us all to slow down and count our blessings: small moments of glory, time spent with family, even our daily struggles. Maria's spirit will continue to live through those who loved her and she will be missed dearly.

Maria's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 5:00 pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW. Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Mass will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Church located at 309 Stover Ave SW. The Commencement Service will follow at 11:00 am at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery located at 2957 Arenal Rd SW.

Maria's dedication to carrying and uplifting others through life's hard times is reflected through Michael Joe Perez, Anthony Perez, Steven Perez, Fransisco Jaramillo, Jack Jaramillo Jr. and Juanito Jaramillo's loving hands, as they will carry her to her final resting place. Honoring Maria by walking along side her are Honorary Pallbearers Harold Monia Jr., Jacob Sanchez, Ricky Pacheco, Charlie Sanchez and Ray Vialpando.
