Mario A. Baca

Mr. Mario A. Baca, 87, went to be with his Savior on Thursday, December 1, 2016.

Mr. Baca was preceded in death by his parents, Jacobo and Lucila Baca and sons Frank Baca and Greg Baca.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara R. Baca; children, Lara Baca (Paris Renfrow), Marina Lopez (Robert), Anita Baca (James Lujan), Millan Baca (Michelle Montoya), Miguel Baca, and Jacobo Baca (Lucia Anglada); brothers, Bernard Baca, Rudy Baca, and Robert Baca; sister, Natalie Kent; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mario was a proud husband, father, grandfather, veteran, plumber, gardener and an avid reader.

Mr. Baca's Life Celebration will begin with a Viewing on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at Salazar Mortuary (400 Third St. SW) followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. A reception will follow the rosary in the Salazar Life Event Center. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church in Old Town. Mr. Baca will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 9:45 am.

Pallbearers will be James Lujan, Robert Lopez, Adrian Romero, David Lopez, Amanda Lopez, Phillip Lujan and Alicia Lujan. Honorary pallbearers are Katia Lujan, Esperanza Baca, Pilar Baca, Liliana Baca, and Eliseo Baca.
