Martin Tapia Sr., 69, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014.
Over the last fifty years he did what he loved the most: Truck Driving. He enjoyed it to the very end. His other passions in life were singing, dancing, and playing the accordion. You would always hear him before you would see him. He had an unforgettable personality and he never met a stranger.
Martin is preceded in death by his parents Jose Tapia and Carmelita Tapia-Sanchez; sister Cora Silvia; brothers Gilbert Tapia, Albert Tapia, John Michael Tapia; daughter Stella Ruth Ostendorf, and son Joseph David Tapia.
He is survived by his daughters Joyce Armijo and husband Victor, Barbara Galvan and husband Ricardo; son Martin Tapia and wife Esperanza; and daughter Adelina Madrid and husband Steven; brother Vidal Tapia; sister Lorraine Tapia; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and long time friend Theresa Terrazas.
Martin's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Friday, December 26, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Salazar Mortuary followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Final Viewing will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at Salazar Mortuary followed by a Service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Chilili Cemetery following services.
Pallbearers will be Antonio Baca, Gonzalo A. Chacon, Gabriel Tapia, Augustus Tapia, Richard Ostendorf, and Ricardo Galvan.
