Mary Ann Torrez

Mary Ann Torrez, 67, of Albuquerque, NM was surrounded by her loving family when she was called home to be with the Good Lord March 4, 2019.

She was born to parents Juan and Petra Peralta, 1952, in Carrizozo, NM. She graduated from Del Norte High School home of the "Knights" in 1970, after which she received a free scholarship and went on to complete beauty school. She was a dedicated hairdresser and beauty instructor.

Mary Ann married the love of her life David "Dave" Torrez in 1974. Together they had four sons that survive her. David "Neo" Torrez married to Sonya and their children Stephanie, Gabriel and David. Pablo "Paul" Torrez married to Briana and their children Pablo, Isaiah, Isaac, and Jazzlyn. Joseph  aka JT Gunz 505 Torrez married to Maria and their son Ernesto. Eddie Jay "Eddie" Torrez married to Trina and their children Trinity, Isabella and Eddie-Jay Jr.

Mary Ann loved her family first and foremost. She was immensely proud of all her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories made with all of those that she loved. She was a kind and beautiful soul that always wanted those around her to be happy. Mary Ann was as beautiful inside as she was out.

She enjoyed making everyone else around her feel beautiful and loved beyond any measure. What Mary Ann wanted most was to not miss our hunt this year. Now she can be there and  every one thereafter. She can go on the biggest and longest hunts and climb the highest mountains to send "the big game" down our way.

Mary Ann’s Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Reflections Chapel located at 2400 Washington St NE 87110. Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm at Queen of Heaven Church located at 5311 Phoenix Ave NE. Mass will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 10:00 am at Queen of Heaven Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery locateed at 1900 Edith Blvd NE. Reception will be held at the Post 49 located at 11007 Central Ave NE following Interment.

Pallbearers will be Gabriel Torrez, David Torrez, Pablo Torrez, James Piar, Patrick Garcia, and Orlando Ruiz.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mary Ann's grandchildren Stephanie Gutierrez, Eden Quintana, Trinity Munoz, Isaiah Alatriste, Ernesto Torrez, Isabella Torrez, Isaac Alatriste, Eddie Jay Torrez, Jr., Jazzlyn Zamora.
