Mary E. Anderson

Mary E. Anderson, 81, passed away on Good Friday, April 15, 2022.

She is preceded in death by her mother Amparo Solis and grandmother Refugio Flores.

Mary is survived by her children: Tina Haralson (Thomas “Cub”), Susie Fletcher, Jimmy Anderson, Annie Beal (Carl), Stephen Anderson (Lupe); grandchildren: Thomas, Samantha, Stephen, Dominik, Shane, Alyssa, Parker, Coby, Amber, Jena, Sydney, Makayla, Taytum and 3 great-grandchildren.

Mary was born on March 23, 1941 in Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico. Mary arrived in the United States as an infant. She lived in Texas, Arizona and finally made her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Mary was a beauty queen, athlete, basketball coach, team mother, classroom parent and teacher. She enjoyed cake decorating, ceramics, embroidering, gardening, jewelry making, candy making, painting, dancing, parties and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Of the many roles she held, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, her most cherished role was that of a mother. She loved her children with so much vigor that each felt like they were the center of her universe.

She always put others needs before her own. She was selfless and loved to serve others. She loved delivering treats to her many friends on special occasions.  Mary’s friendly demeanor and sense of humor was infectious. She made friends everywhere she went.

Mary is very loved and cherished. She will be sorely missed by family and friends. However, we look forward to the day when we can once again be reunited.

Mary's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 10:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 4109 Eubank Blvd NE, 87111. Service will begin at 10:30. Mary will be laid to rest following the Service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery located at 7999 Wyoming Blvd NE, 87109.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Haralson, Shane Haralson, Stephen Anderson, Parker Anderson, Dominik Anderson, and Coby Anderson.
