She is preceded in death by he husband Manuel Lopez.
She is survived by her father Mario Gutierrez; Sons: Mario Gutierrez and wife Camille, and Orlando Gutierrez; Daughter: Crystal Lopez; Brother: Alfred Gutierrez; Sisters: Helen Acuna, and Christina Gonzales and husband Adam; and four grandchildren.
Maryellen's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Floral Chapel at Salazar Mortuary wit a Eulogy to follow. A reception will be held at Salon Ortega at the National Hispanic Cultural Center located at 1701 4th St SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102 following services.
