Mary Helen Chavez

Mary Helen Chavez, 69, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.

She is preceded in death by her father Daniel Chavez, mother Armelina Jaramillo, daughter Barbara Ortega, sister Esther Chavez, and granddaughter Kimberly Vargas.

Mary is survived by her partner of 40 years Alfonso Torrez; daughters: Michelle Vargas (Bonifacio), Amy Archunde; granddaughters: Shelly Jaramillo, Melissa Jaramillo, Laura Vargas, Rosa Vargas; grandsons: Elias Montano, Cesar Montano, Michael Vargas, Jose Vargas, Carlos Vargas, Tyler Vargas, Daniel Ortega, Alejandro Ortega, Fernando Ortega; great-grandchildren: Daniel Siow, Paitynn Carpio, Sianna Siow, Paisley Skinner; sisters: Jeanette Garcia and husband Benny, Elma Chavez; brothers: Ben Chavez, Kim Chavez, Danny Chavez; sister-in-law Theresa Marquez; brothers-in-law: Benito Torrez, Elvis Torres (Isabel), and many nieces and nephews who loved her.

Mary's Life Celebration will begin with a Viewing on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 9:00am Our Lady Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church located 1350 State Rd. 579 Seboyeta, NM 87014. Rosary will be recited at 9:30am. Mass will begin at 10:00am. Mary will be laid to rest following the Mass at the Cubero Cemetery located at 40 Camino de Campo Santo Rd Seboyeta, NM 87014.
