Maxine Sedillo

January 23, 1934 — February 12, 2017

Maxine Sedillo, 83, went to be with our Lord Sunday, February 12, 2017.

Mrs. Sedillo was preceded in death by her parents Jose Santos & Lasara Romero, grandparents Lorenzo and Fransquita Padilla, and brother Henry Romero. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, George Sedillo; daughters Teresa Wilkes, Sara Sedillo, Mary Sedillo & husband Steve Candelaria; siblings Fred Romero, Henry Romero, Lorenzo Romero, Frances & husband Ernest Barela, Margaret Montoya, Julia & husband Gene Gallegos, Bernardita Romero, Mary & husband Robert La Febre, and Jose Santos Romero Jr.; grandchildren Andrea Marquez & husband Jacob Marquez Sr., Steven Candelaria Jr., Jacob Wilkes, and Katelyn Wilkes; great-grandchildren Jorden & Jacob Marquez Jr.

Mrs. Sedillo's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary on Thursday, February 16, 2017, 7:00 p.m. at Salazar Mortuary (400 3rd St SW) followed by a Mass on Friday, February 17, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church in Old Town with burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lorenzo Romero, Steve Candelaria Sr., Steve Candelaria Jr., Jacob Marquez, Ernie Barela, and Fred Romero Jr.
