Monica Lucia Apodaca

Monday, May 9, 2022 our hearts were broken, we lost a perfect daughter, wife, mother, and friend, Monica Lucia Apodaca, at the age of 47.

Monica passed away after battling injuries suffered due to a car accident in late October 2020.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Paul and Alvita Chavez and Felix and Esperanza "Granny" Maestas.

She is survived by her wonderful parents Jerry and Carmen Chavez, caring husband Arthur Apodaca, strong children: Crucito Apodaca, Diego Apodaca and Luciana Apodaca

Monica was a smart, caring and understanding woman. She always had the right things to say or the right way of doing things. Her love for purple, rock and roll, and more importantly her love for others will always be what she was known for. She knew how to talk to people and how to help them, even with the small things in life. Her joy in life was helping her children achieve their goals in life. She was always cheering for them and encouraging them when they were making Eagle Scouts, playing high school football, and playing softball.

She will be missed and remembered by all the friends and family that knew her

Monica's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 6:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church located at 619 Copper Ave NE, 87102. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Mass will be held Friday, May 20, 2022 at 9:30 am also at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Monica will be laid to rest following the Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102.

Pallbearers will be Cruz Apodaca, Diego Apodaca, Larry Maestas, Luis Maestas, Joseph Alderette, and Larry Francia.
