Nancy Jane McKenzie, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully Sept. 9, 2015, in her home in Albuquerque.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Nancy McKenzie.
Jane is survived by and will be greatly missed by her daughters, Samantha Jane (Brandon) Wells of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Jillian Leigh McNulty of Albuquerque; her grandchildren Kaylie Mae and Porter Scott Wells, and Chloe Maria McNulty; her brother, John Glenn (Kim) McKenzie, Jr. of Rockford, Ill., her nephews, John Christian and Michael Zane McKenzie; and many loving cousins and family members.
The older of two children, Jane was born in Little Rock, Ark. and raised in Rockford, Ill. Upon graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder, she moved to Denver, Colo. where she opened a business in Larimar Square. She moved out east where she married and had two daughters. Jane and her daughters later moved to Albuquerque to be near her parents. In addition to being a loving mother and homemaker, Jane was also a vice-president of an Albuquerque software company and a leader in sales and marketing for several national telecommunications companies. A voracious reader, Jane also enjoyed spending time with her dog, working cross-word puzzles, and traveling with her mother and daughters.
Jane's warmth, sense of humor, and zest for life will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A service will be held later in Stuttgart, Ark. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
