Neil G. Gergen, a cherished family man and proud veteran, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Gergen.

He is survived by his son Christopher Gergen, daughter-in-law Rae-Ann, daughter Brandi Daniel, son-in-law Kevin, the centers of his universe, his grandchildren: Kelsey Stryker (Nathaniel), Jacob Gergen, Reese Daniel, Jett Neil Daniel, Emmie Daniel. He is also survived by his beloved mother-in-law Antonia Ortiz, sister Cathy Gergen, sisters-in-law: Norma Ortiz, Bernadette Ortiz (Carla), brother-in-law Eddie Ortiz (Yvonne) and nieces and nephews.

Neil proudly retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service to his country. Upon his retirement from the Air Force, Neil earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He

The thing he enjoyed most in his life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Their baseball and softball games were a pastime he held dear, and he could often be found cheering them on from the sidelines with a proud smile. He never missed an event or activity they were involved in. He was the most supportive and loving grandpa.

Neil loved chocolate cake and any sweet dessert. His passion for sports was undeniable, and he remained a steadfast fan of the Atlanta Falcons, New Mexico Lobos, Dallas Cowboys, Georgia Bulldogs and, of course, the Atlanta Braves. Game days were always an event in the Gergen household, filled with cheers and the camaraderie of family and friends.

Neil's character was the epitome of honor and forgiveness. He navigated life with a kind heart and an open mind, always ready to offer a helping hand or a word of encouragement. His presence was a source of comfort and strength to those around him.
