Nelson Cruz

Nelson Cruz, 73, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, September 30, 2021.

Awaiting his arrival at the gates of Heaven were his wife Percilla Cruz; parents: Matilda and Doroteo Cruz; brothers: Naim Cruz, Sonny Cruz. Also, his son Nelson Cruz, who lost his battle to cancer on Sunday, October 3, 2021.

Nelson is survived by his son Reyes Cruz; daughter Shantel Dunsworth and fiancé Macy Alderete; granddaughter Anastashia Alderete; brothers: Celedon Cruz, Toby Cruz, Jake Cruz; sister Concha Flores; along with many other family members and friends that loved him dearly.

Nelson was a very loving and kind-hearted man of God. He was devoted to his family, as well as his ministry, and made himself available to anyone in need. Anyone who knew him, knew he also had a wild, and vibrant spirit. He loved classic cars, riding his motorcycles, and anything outdoors.

Nelson's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Life Celebration will begin at 2:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Flores, Anthony Flores, Jacob Cruz, Josue Infante, Brandon Cruz, and Joshua Miller.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Celedon Cruz, Jr., Beno Flores, Rudy Cruz, Nathan Cruz, Mark Cruz, and Kenneth Cruz.
