Believing in the power of prayer and positive thinking, Nick achieved his long-term goal, acquiring his dream job at the Palo Alto VA Medical Center, with the substance rehabilitation program.
He was a lifelong learner who loved to read, he was exceptionally smart with a talent for public speaking. He was a spiritual “prayer warrior” on a life-long quest for self-improvement, which was reflected in his radiant personality. Nick was a kind and generous man with a big heart and lovingly had a knack for nicknaming. He was a lover of morning walks, cars, shoes, movies, watching SNL and spending time with family. He especially valued and cherished the advice and talks with his uncle Sonny Silva and his good friends, Neil Fong and Miss Sally.
As Nicolas would say “Jesus First” and, “You are important, and I can’t wait to talk”. He knew how to make everyone feel special and always had the right words of wisdom. His unique presence and compassion gave him a special light that is now celebrated in Heaven.
