Norma T. Garcia, a true example of love and selflessness, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the age of 58.

Norma was preceded in death by her father-in law Andy Garcia, mother Soledad Corral, brother Jose Chavez, sons: Andrew Garcia, Daniel Lorenzo Garcia, and nephew Oscar Olivas.

She is survived by her husband Dan Garcia, sons: Jose Garcia, Carlos Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Gabriel Garcia, daughter-in-law Monique Garcia, grandchildren: Nevaha Garcia, Josiah Garcia, siblings: Israel, Soledad, Magdalena, Gina, Dora, Ester, and their spouses: Magdalena, Fred, Juventino, Oscar, also many nephews, nieces, and close friends.

Norma was born on June 13, 1965, in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. Norma's vibrant spirit and creative soul were evident from a young age. At the tender age of 12, she moved to Albuquerque, where she would later meet her beloved husband while working at Garcia's, a place that held many cherished memories for her.

Norma's life was a testament to her unwavering dedication to her family, especially her boys, who were her entire world. Norma's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. She found joy in the simplicity of camping and the excitement of line dancing. Fishing trips, boat outings, and evenings spent playing cards or trying her luck at the casino were among her favorite pastimes.

Norma loved nothing more than sharing her passion with her friends and family. Her creative flair was showcased in her impressive collections of swords, rings, jewelry, and coins, each piece telling a story of her adventures and the people she met along the way.

Norma's unique ability to bring people together, to create memories of joy and laughter, will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She had a gift for making everyone feel at home, a quality that will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.

Norma Garcia's legacy is one of love, creativity, and selflessness. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we say goodbye to Norma, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of moments that will continue to inspire and comfort us for years to come.

Norma’s life celebration will begin with a visitation on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church located at 562 Atrisco Dr. SW, 87105. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. also at Holy Family Catholic Church. Norma will be laid to rest following the Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102.

Pallbearers will be Israel Corral, Jose Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Epi Chavez, Nevaeha Garcia, Jackie Ramazzini, Deliah Olivas, Norma Olivas, Gabriel Garcia, and Josiah Garcia
