Olga Crabb (Semenova)

Olga Crabb (Semenova) passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 at the age of 46.

Olga has touched the lives of so many and will always be remembered as a very kind and giving person with a big and loving heart who put others first. Always willing to help, also strong-willed, fun, witty and generous.  She was an excellent cook and loved to entertain.  We will miss her immensely and she will stay forever in our hearts.

Olga was born in St. Petersburg, Russia on August 15, 1974.  The city was known as Leningrad at the time.  It’s the second largest city in Russia and is known for its rich cultural traditions, science and arts.  It was the capital of Russia during the Tsar times.  Olga’s parents, Alexander and Valentina, live there now.

In December of 1990, the family moved to the Holy Land with the personal blessing of Metropolitan Timothy (Μητροπολίτης Τιμόθεο in Greek).  While there, she was a parishioner at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where her father worked for 14 years before returning to Russia.  Olga finished her school studies in Jerusalem, continuing from the Gymnasium she attended in Russia.

In 1994 Olga moved to New Brunswick, Canada, for about a year and shortly after to Albuquerque, where she has been residing since and embraced as her home.  In her time in Albuquerque, Olga has been a key part of running two local favorite taverns, while taking some business classes at the University of New Mexico in the earlier days.  Olga was also a devoted member of the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Albuquerque for many years, and later on also attended St. Elias the Prophet Greek Orthodox Church in Santa Fe.

Olga loved her family and friends, who loved and cherished her in return.  Rest in Peace, our beloved Olga.

Olga's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church located at 308 High St SE, 87102. Service will begin at 12:00 pm. Olga will be laid to rest following the Service at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery located at 700 Yale Blvd. NE, 87106. A Macaria (Greek Luncheon) will be held at St. George Greek Orthodox Hall at 2:30pm.

Due to the COVID restrictions set in place by the Governor the St. George Greek Orthodox Church has a capacity of 52 people allowed inside of the church. For the Service the church can have 52 people in the church and and additional 60 people inside of the hall to watch the Service on a screen. Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery is allowed to have 10 people at the graveside and asks that all attendees stand back in socially distant groups of 10.
