Olga Varoz

Altagracia Olga Orona "Olga Varoz", philanthropist and matriarch of the Varoz family from Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, NM passed away at the age of 89 at her home on October 27, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Varoz Sr., a World War II Veteran of the Army Air Corps and retired security inspector of Sandia Laboratory National Labs. Olga was born on June 18, 1927. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1944 and graduated from the University of NM in 1976. Olga was educated, gracious and tirelessly supportive of their family and her community.

Olga is survived by her sons; Dr. Theodore L. Varoz and wife Carrie, Timothy Varoz, Thomas Varoz; daughters, Suzzette Miera and husband Gerald; Camille Varoz; her grandchildren: John Varoz, Joey Varoz, Matthew Varoz, Dr. Jessie Varoz, Andrew Varoz, Katie Williams and husband Lowell, Robert Miera, Michael Miera, Matthew Miera, Jeanette Evens and husband Bob, Clement Rogers and wife Susie, Lia Conzemius and husband Brandon, Yei Rogers and wife Theresa, Zhon Rogers, Tsailii Rogers, Christina Varoz, Amanda Varoz and Seth Varoz; Great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and family members.

On behalf of the family, they wish to express their appreciation to the New Mexico Cancer Center and the Legacy Hospice Staff for the quality care they provided to Olga in the comfort of her home.

Olga's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary on Saturday, November 5th at 9:00 am followed by a Mass at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Parish (619 Copper Ave. NW) Mrs. Varoz will be laid to rest with her husband at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Varoz, Joseph Varoz, Matthew Varoz, Dr. Jessie Varoz, Andrew Varoz, Seth Varoz, Robert Miera, Michael Miera, Matthew Miera, Clement Rogers, Yei Rogers, and Zhon Rogers.
