Olivia Diaz

May 26, 1951 — July 5, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Olivia Antonia Diaz, on Friday, July 5, 2024, in her hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her mother Ada Chavez, and father Charles Chavez.

Olivia is survived by her children Loretta Pina, Robert Diaz, Jennifer Magness; beloved grandchildren: Brandon Pina, Olivia Pina, Darrin Diaz, Austin Magness, and Alexa Magness.

An avid crafter, Olivia's hands were rarely still, as she poured her creativity into every project she touched. The intricate details of her work reflected the care she put into her relationships, making both her crafts and her connections with others uniquely beautiful. Her taste in music was an echo of her era, with the timeless tunes of the Beatles often providing the soundtrack to many family gatherings.

No morning was complete for Olivia without the local flavors of Albuquerque, and she was a familiar face at Twisters. Multiple times a week, she would savor their breakfast burritos, a simple pleasure that brought joy to her routine.

But above all, Olivia's world revolved around her children and grandchildren. They were the pulse of her life, the motivation behind every decision, every sacrifice. She approached motherhood and grandmotherhood with an unwavering commitment to be the best she could be, embodying the very essence of unconditional love.

Her spirit was a testament to her faith, which guided her through life's triumphs and trials. Olivia's trust in her beliefs was as natural as her sense of humor, which could light up a room and ease any burden. She was the heart of her family, a source of wisdom and warmth that will be profoundly missed.

Olivia Diaz will be remembered as a woman who lived life fully, with a funny bone and a faith-filled heart. Her loving nature was evident in everything she did, she embraced every moment with her loved ones. As we bid farewell to Olivia, we celebrate the legacy of joy, love, and laughter she leaves behind. Her memory will continue to inspire and comfort those who were fortunate enough to know her.
