Olympia Martiesian

Olympia Martiesian passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was 95 years old. A long life. And look at the truly great family she left behind!

Olympia was preceded in death by her first husband Arcade Joubert, second hudband Lazarus Martiesian, son Larry Joubert, daughter-in-law and Cheryl Joubert.

She is survived by her sons, Gerard Joubert (Kathy Joubert) and Dale Joubert, Sr.; daughter, Patricia Goodroe (Michael Goodroe);  grandsons, Dale Joubert, Nelle Coady Joubert, Eric Joubert (Amber Hewes), Jeremy Joubert, and Nicholas Joubert (Linda Joubert); granddaughters, Heather Joubert Bybee (Chris Bybee), Aimee Joubert , Natalie Joubert Casco (Tony Casco); nine great-grandsons, Aidan Joubert, Jules Joubert, Noah Joubert, August Joubert, Henry Joubert, Harrison Joubert, Owen Joubert, Will Joubert, Danny Casco; great-granddaughters, Ruby Pion and Cami Casco are special gems in the family! Not to forget Cathie Magno and Judy Lopes!!

Olympia was born on May 3, 1929, in Attleboro, Massachusetts. The family history was rich and extended to the Azore Islands.

Olympia developed a lifelong passion for ballroom dance and music. In her youth, she would travel a hundred miles to hear a great dance band of the 1940’s. Later, she had simple pleasures, such as coffee ice cream, and was easily led to memories of beach parties at the Cape with her family.

Her work life spanned 30 years on the Texas Instrument assembly line, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.

All generations of her family adored her.

They called her mom, Wimpy, Auntie Limpy, Grammie and GiGi!!
