Paulie Perez

Paulie Perez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, passed into the presence of God on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. She was born September 23, 1946 in St. Johns, Arizona, grew up in Salado, Arizona, and was currently a resident of Bernalillo, New Mexico. Paulie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Grover and Lasarita Milligan, her parents Juan and Emma Trujillo, and granddaughter Shyanne Sandoval. Paulie will forever be remembered and deeply missed by her husband of 50 years Lorenzo "Lawrence" Perez, their children Anthony Perez, Brian Perez, and wife Irene, and Shelley Perez, her sisters Lupe Salazar (Robert-deceased), Sinda Montoya (Telesfor), and Sadie Delaplain (Robert), her brothers Danny Trujillo (Elaine), Ray Trujillo (Beverly), and Adrian Trujillo, her grandchildren Brianna (Robert), Joseph, Carlos, Emma, Katie, and Gabriel, great grandchildren Arianna and Angelo and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Paulie loved her family more than anything besides God, whom she loved with all her heart, mind, and soul. She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Paulie was a devout Catholic, true to her faith. She served God and her Church in many capacities, as a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Blue Army, and The Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Paulie was involved in several ministries at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in Bernalillo as a Eucharistic Minister, Alter Server Coordinator, CCD teacher, and choir member. She was a beautiful example of sacrificial love, always putting other's wants before her needs. Paulie was perpeutally available to those who needed someone to talk to, offer advice, pray with, or help in any way. Her selfless nature will be missed.

Services will be held Monday, May 1, 2017. A Rosary will be led by the Blue Army at 10:00 AM, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo. Interment will follow Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery and a reception will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Social Center after all services have concluded. Pallbearers are Danny Trujillo, Ray Trujillo, Adrian Trujillo, Joseph Perez, Carlos Perez, Rudy Dominguez, and Honorary Pallbearer Gabriel Lorenzo Sandoval.

The Family would like to thank all who sent thoughts, prayers, and flowers and those who visited with Paulie. We especially thank Father Clarence Maes, Lorraine Ruelas, Theresa Rivera, Vera Olguin, Santiago Montoya, Sharon Duran, Tina Dominguez, and the Blue Army.
