Pedro Hernández Chávez was born in Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua on December 11, 1954. He leaves his wife of 45 years, Socorro Hernández Chaparro, sons, Jose Angel his wife and kids & Pedro Jr. his wife and kids, daughters Noemí and kids and Marissa, and his great grandson Luciano. Pedro passed away on June 24, 2019 alongside of his family. He was a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico since the late 80’s. Our dad was a person who loved everyone. We had the honor to live many adventures with him. He was a coyote with nine lives. We say coyote because he helped many in their journey to the U.S.A., to live the “American Dream”. We have many memories of driving down to El Paso to pick up family in hopes of them coming to live a better life. As kids, he always instilled in us values, respect, honor, and hard work, no matter what job you had he always said to do it right. Many of you can agree with me and remember my dad as a mechanic, a baker (time to make the donuts), and he loved to party! We will keep those memories alive. Sadly, he was the last one living of his immediate family Hernández Chávez. Now his kids will keep his legacy alive. What an honor it is to be an Hernández. To end, my dad fought a great battle, he lived for his family, as they meant everything to him. Pedro, our dad, valued every single person; his kids, grandkids, family, and friends. He leaves us with a big emptiness in our hearts, but we know that he is now resting in peace. He is preceded by his grandson, Angel Santana, his parents, his brother and sister, his brother-n-law Felix Chaparro, and Leroy Valdez and many other loved ones.
