Pedro "Pete" Santiago Padilla, 63, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017.
He is preceded in death by his wife Josephine Padilla, his parents Pedro and Barbara Padilla, and his half sister Carmen Padilla.
Pedro is survived by his son Robert Padilla; step-son William Scott Fay; daughter Evangeline VanBibber and husband Eric; sister Paula Garcia; nephews John Garcia and Michael Padilla; nieces Berlynn and Dolly; grandchildren Santiago, Ambrosia, Isabella and William Cody.
He had a passion for singing and making others smile. His dimples lit up the room with joy. He loved Elvis, and Sports. His favorite teams were the Los Angeles Dodgers, LA Lakers, and he bled blue for the Dallas Cowboys. He loved lowriders, and his life as a cross country semitruck driver. His longtime best friend and sidekick was Piper his Shitzu doggy. They went everywhere together.
Pedro's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Thursday, May, 25, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Salazar Mortuary, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Final Viewing will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. also at Salazar Mortuary, followed by a Service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow Services at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Santiago Vanbibber, Robert Padilla, Robert Delgado, Eppie Armijo, Paul Armijo, and Gabriel Encee.
