Phillip E. Atencio Jr. returned to our Heavenly Father on August 1st, 2015.
He was born on December 12, 1961. Phillip had a beautiful smile and a kind heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip E. Atencio Sr. and Teresa Newman, and his sister Marie Atencio.
He is survived by his beloved dog, Nitro; his sisters, Jeri (Sok) Sokolosky, Sharon (Morris) Carrillo; step mother Justine Atencio; step siblings, Jane (Alfonso) Manzanares, and the rest of the Hall family, Harold, Mark, John (Nancy) and Weldon (Carla). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and the Garcia Restaurant family.
He was good to his step mother and Aunt, Sister Teresa Atencio. He retired from the City of Albuquerque after decades of service. Phillip left us too early and will be missed. As we bid farewell to Phillip we use his favorite saying, "Bueno Bye."
