Placido E. "Truman" Lucero, 81, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, February 11, 2016.
He is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Marcella Lucero; sons Fredrick Duran (Filomena) and Placido A. Lucero (Bernadette); daughters Annette Lucero, Vanessa Lucero, Maria Ronquillo, and daughter-in-law Phyllis Ronquillo; brothers Meliseo Griego, Richard Griego, and Elijo Lucero; sisters Ines Fought and Dorthy Duran; 23 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
He loved his family, was a proud veteran of the United States Army, and would nickname everyone he met. He had a good sense of humor and will be greatly missed.
Placido's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at Salazar Mortuary, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church on 4th St. NW, followed by Burial at San Carlos Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Theodoro Aragon, Eugene Gonzales, Christopher Lucero, Adam Duran, Jonathan Marquez, and Ivan Ronquillo. Honorary pallbearers will be Juanita Lucero and Alfred Duran.
