Rebeca Salazar

May 20, 1938 — January 5, 2021

Beloved wife and mother, Rebeca Salazar passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.

She is survived by her husband Gilbert Salazar, her loving son Oscar Madrid, her daughter in-law, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Rebeca was a faithful Christian and was a devote member of Casa Del Rey Church, where she was blessed with numerous thoughtful prayers. She devoted her life to loving and caring for anybody who needed a helping hand. She was blessed to have cared for many children throughout her life time. She referred to all of them as her own. Rebeca adored having her grandchildren over. She enjoyed cooking.

Rebecca's Life Celebration will  begin with a Visitation on Wednesday, January, 13, 2021 from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Burial will take place at 2:15 pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N Guadalupe St, 87501.

Due to the Governor's COVID restrictions set in place masks are MANDATORY to attend Rebeca's Visitation and Burial. Salazar Mortuary has a capacity of 5 people allowed in the funeral home. We ask that family and friends attending the Visitation wait INSIDE of their vehicles until we are ready for the next group of 5 to come in. The Santa Fe National Cemetery only allows 5 people to be in the committal shelter and asks that all attendees practice social distancing.
