Robert "Bob" Snyder

Robert "Bob" Snyder passed away on Monday, July 15 2024. After a long illness, he passed away peacefully at home with his family at his bedside.

Robert was born on February 14, 1954 at the Air Force Base in Shreveport, Louisiana.  He was the oldest of 7 kids. He grew up in Akron Ohio and Lansing Michigan.

He joined the Air Force at 18, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant. There he met his wife Patricia and they were married in Okinawa, Japan. They traveled the world together while in service, serving in several places including Japan and Germany. They had two daughters Michelle and Stephanie and four grandchildren who were the light of his life.

His is interests included music, he played several instruments including drums and guitar. He was very artistic and spent much of his life making a living hand painting signs. He was a biker and enjoyed riding Harleys, especially with his wife. He also loved to build motorcycles, which he would then give away and build another.

He was a fun loving guy who loved to laugh and joke around. He loved to play with his kids and grandchildren. He was a very devoted grandfather who loved his grandchildren more than anything.

He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, parents Robert and Loretta and Brother Tim.

He is survived by his daughter Michelle and her husband Herman. Daughter Stephanie and her husband Walter. Grandchildren Brendon, Elijah, Arianna and Isabelle. Sisters Patty, Laurie, Susan, brothers Terry and David.

Bob life celebrations will begin with a service starting at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW, 87102. A reception will follow the service at Salazar Mortuary Event Center.
