Rosaura "Rosie" Herrera
June 3, 1951 - October 9, 2017
A resident of Dallas, Texas went to our Lord on Monday, October 9, 2017. Rosie went to dance with the angels as she was called upon to go to Heaven. She meant so much too so many and had a heart of gold. She had unconditional love and her smile was contagious. She touched the lives of all who knew her. She was the oldest of ten sisters: Ramona Hernandez (Ernest), Lorraine Gutierrez (Reyes), Gloria Prieto (Manuel), Rosario Munoz, Bobbie Herrera, Georgia Benavidez (George), Brenda Adame (Oscar), Beverly Ortega (Ben), Roberta Duran (Pete), and two brothers: Manuel Herrera (Lori) and Victor Herrera. She was an aunt to nearly 100 nieces and nephews.
Rosie was preceded in death by son Marlon LeBlanc, as well as other loving family members.
She is survived by her mother Manuelita Romero, son Mark LeBlanc, daughter Debbie Angel Leo, grandchildren Brittany Wiltz, Lino Martinez, Sabastan Mendoza, Michael Mendoza and Vanessa Mendoza, great grandchildren, Cassidy Batiste and Sy'Rai Batiste as, well as other loving family members.
Rosie's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Salazar Mortuary, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, located at 309 Stover Ave. SW 87102. She will be laid to rest at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Manuel Herrera, Victor Herrera, Reyes Gutierrez, Oscar Adame, Ben Ortega and Pete Duran. Honorary Pallbearers are Ernest Hernandez, Manuel Prieto and George Benavidez II.
