Born on August 6, 1935, in San Marcial, New Mexico, Rose's life was marked by her passion for family, food, and the vibrant culture that surrounded her.
Rose's love for her family was expressed by her want to make sure everyone was fed and taken care of. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and joy, where grandchildren would gather to learn the art of making her famous posole and chili rellenos, even if they never fully got the recipes she guarded so well. She took great pleasure in feeding everyone, and her recipes were a tapestry of tradition and love, woven into every family gathering.
Music was a special bond for Rose to her husband Florencio especially the Spanish tunes he played. She would beam with pride and tap her feet as her husband played the guitar, filling the air with melodies that echoed the rich heritage they shared. This love of music was a bond that tied the family together, resonating through the generations.
Having played softball in her youth, Rose was a fan of watching the World Series and tried not to miss it. However, she would rather watch Touched by an Angel or Little House on the Prarie if she had to choose. Some of her greater hobbies were going to lunch with her Comadres and shopping for “Angel on the Shoulder” pins which she would distribute to her grandchildren.
Rose's pride in her family was boundless. She was known to boast especially on the phone about her loved ones' accomplishments with a gleaming smile and an unwavering sense of pride. Her stories were a testament to the deep connection she felt for each family member, and her support was unwavering.
A collector of Saint Mary and angel trinkets, Rose surrounded herself with symbols of faith and protection. Each piece in her collection held a special meaning, reflecting her spiritual journey and the guidance she sought throughout her life. She always had a Rosary and you knew very well she was praying for you.
Those who knew Rose will remember her as a fiery soul with a heart of gold. She was loving and caring, always willing to lend an ear or offer advice. Her honesty was one of her most admired virtues, and her straightforward nature was tempered by her deep compassion for others.
Rose's legacy is one of love, family, and the joy of life's simple pleasures. She was a woman who created a home that was open to everyone, a place where laughter was abundant, and every meal was a celebration. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
As we say farewell to Rose Bachicha, we reflect on a life well-lived and a woman dearly loved. Her journey on this earth has ended, but the stories, the lessons, and the love she shared will continue to inspire us for generations to come. Rose's presence will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will forever be a guiding light for her family and friends.
Rose's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the community for the love and support shown throughout her life and during this time of loss. Her vibrant spirit and the love she spread will be an enduring legacy that will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, dear Rose, until we meet again.
