Rose M. Salas

Rose M. Salas went to be with our Lord on Thursday June 19, 2014. Mrs. Salas was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Salas; son, Anthony Contreras; and daughter, Renee Contreras. She is survived by her son, Andy E. Velarde Jr.; daughters: Jeanette M. Mares and husband John, Christine Sisneros and husband James; sister, Carmen Sandoval; daughter-in-law, Caroline Valdez; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many friends and neighbors. Rose loved her dogs and especially her dog Sharky who died one month ago. Rose's Life Celebration will begin with a Viewing on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. in the Floral Chapel at Salazar Mortuary followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 10:00 am at San Jose Catholic Church (2401 Broadway Blvd. SE 87102.) followed by a Burial at Mt Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Velarde, Stephen Candelaria, James Sisneros, John Mares, Dan Mares, and Benjie Candelaria.
