Mr. Salazar, 58, went to be with the Lord. Ruben was preceded in death by his mother, Lucy; sisters: Paula and Bertha; brother, Nashito; and son, Ruben Jr.
He is survived by his father, Ignacio and wife, Carmen; son, Nash Salazar and wife, Angel; and daughter, Sarah Lena "Gibby"; brothers: Pancho and wife, Geneva; Chewie and wife, Tammy; Mike and wife, Yvonne; Paul; Carlos; Richard and wife, Sally; Mike and wife, Corina; Nacho and wife, Christina; sisters: Rosario and Sonya; 2 grandchildren: Skyleigh Reign and Dominic; and several nieces and nephews.
Ruben's Life Celebration will begin with a viewing on Wednesday morning at Salazar Mortuary (400 Third St. SW).
A Rosary held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held the following day at 10:00 a.m., also at Sacred Heart.
