Seth James Gonzales

Seth James Gonzales, 24, went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, November 11, 2016.

Seth was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He served his country from 2011 to 2015. Seth was an exceptional athlete with a deep passion for wresting, football and the outdoors. He always gave 100% to every endeavor. His warm heart and respectful nature made him a man above men. Seth had fierce love for his family and never met a stranger. If he called you his brother he meant it. He was the first to volunteer his time and assistance, even if it meant shedding his suit and wearing his grandpa's clothes to mow the lawn. He loved sharing a meal with family and friends. His silly nature was reflected in his love for wearing crazy socks.

He was a loving husband and son. The love and pride for his son, Ethan James was above all else. He will be remembered by all that he encountered by his infectious laugh, heartwarming smile, and quick humor. To know him was to love him.

He is survived by his wife of three years, Elishia Gonzales; son, Ethan James Gonzales; mother April Romero; father, James Gonzales and wife Stephanie Gonzales; sister, Brieanne Beck and husband Sammy Barela;brothers, Niko Marrufo, Jullian Encinias, Michael Gonzales, Adam Gonzales; grandparents, Joaquin and Romana Gonzales, Jose and Judy Garcia, and Gerald Romero Sr.; great-grandmother, Carmen Jiron; Godparents Gerald and Annette Romero Jr.; nephews, Noah and Eli Barela; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Seth's Life Celebration will begin with a visitation on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 6:00 pm at Salazar Mortuary (400 3 rd St. SW) all are encouraged to come and share stories of Seth. A Funeral service will be celebrated Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 11:00 am at Sagebrush Community Church (6440 Coors Blvd NW 87120) with burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 pm. The family will be receiving friends and family for a reception following the burial at the El Zocalo Plaza, 264 S. Camino Del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM 87004.

Pallbearers will be Cecil Romero, Gerald Romero, Jonathan Gutierrez, Shea Maisel, Jeremy Cordova, and Jullian Encinias. Honorary pallbearers will be AJ Pacheco, Anthony Gomez, Javier Fierro, Damien Romero, Dylan Romero, Paul Llewellyn, Niko Marrufo, Sammy Barela, Matthew Gutierrez, Joseph Daily, Lucas Copley, and Matthew Copley.
