Stella Nunez, 89, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, January 24, 2016.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard "Cato" Nunez, her son and his wife, John and Debbie Nunez, her parents, Christino and Lucy Griego, and her sisters Bella and husband Pete Johnson and Helen and husband Manuel Carreon, and brother-in-law Santiago Perez.
She is survived by her sister Nora Perez; brother-in- law Antonio Nunez and wife Berta; and sister-in-law Julia Moore. She is also survived by her daughters Lucille Jones and Hope M. Nunez and her sons and their wives, Frank and Irene Nunez, Pete and Marlene Nunez, and Steve Nunez. Her grandchildren include Marlo, Misty, Charmaine, Gabriel, Jessica, Nichole, Gene, and John Nunez, and Ray, Chris, Lola and Margo Lopez. She was also blessed with many great grandchildren who brought her tremendous joy and comfort. She would also want to remember her beloved nieces and nephews, Bertie and Fred Denman, Ramona Gutierrez, Frances Armijo, Peter and Lugie Armijo, Bridget Nunez, Rosanna and her partner Denise Nunez, Anthony and Corine Nunez, Emily DiLorenzo, Raymond Moore, Rebecca Lichtfield, Charlie and Tina Soto, Bobbie Perez, Buddy and Caroline Perez, Chris and Maria Perez, Patricia and Andrew De Leon, Victoria and Ralph Gonzalez, Michael Carreon, Kathy Carreon-Dowdy and Lorri Carreon and Brion Nunn, Mary Ann and Steve De Ruse, Johanna Suvia, and Angela and Andrew Olvera, and their beautiful and wonderful children as well.
Our mother was a kind and generous woman who had a place in her heart for all of her children, grandchildren, and all of her nieces, nephews, and their children as well. Everyone who entered her presence was immediately aware of the love she offered and received it in abundance. We will all miss you our dear sweet mother. May you rest in peace.
Stella's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Griegos Rd. NW. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
