Stephanie "Rena" Yvonne Maurer

Stephanie "Rena" Maurer, a symbol of love and generosity, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the age of 40, in her hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa Arthur LeRoy Maurer, grandma Jeannie, cousins:  Marissa Kay Maurer, Trevor Berthold and Robie Maurer.

Steph is survived by her parents: Kirk and Karen Maurer; children: Lexi Maurer Gallegos, Azlynn Franco; brothers: Chris Maurer, Matt Maurer; sister Michelle Barada; grandma Lorna; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends we knew and some we don't yet Steph loved so much.

Born on August 3, 1984, in the same vibrant city, Steph's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and her dedication to her family and community.

Steph's Life Celebration will begin with a service on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at New Beginnings Church located at 4770 Montgomery Blvd NE, 87109. Steph will be laid to rest following the service at Sunset Memorial Park located at 924 Menaul Blvd NE, 87107.
