Tawnia Laneire Scarpelli-Sher passed away suddenly on March 3, 2015 after a twenty year battle with cancer. She was 46 years old.
Tawnia was born in Anaheim, CA but was a lifelong resident of the Duke City and graduate from Freedom High School.
An avid and talented artist, Tawnia's legacy will include paintings, sculptures and a host of other mediums that came to life when touched by her incredible vision.
She saw art and beauty everywhere around her and gave color to anything she was near.
To her kids, she was strong and solid- always there to help.
To her friends, she was ever reliable, steadfast and loyal-and her to her family she was the one who would stand with you and defend you to the end.
She is survived by her three children Jeremy, Kandyce and Mason, her three grandchildren Lyelah, Alize and Roman, her siblings Molly, Holly, Jerry and Larry and her father Ron.
She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Rose and her grandmother Mary.
She leaves behind hundreds of cousins, nieces, nephews and other family and friends that will miss her more than she could have ever imagined.
A service honoring her life will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Salazar Mortuary, 400 3rd St SW, Albuq, NM 87102. Food and beverage will be available after wards.
