Tony Trujillo

Tony Trujillo, 89, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 4:25 a.m. surrounded by his chldren and sons-in-law, praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet

Tony was preceded in death by his wife Alice Trujillo, parents Benita & Martin Trujillo, brother Martin Trujillo Jr., younger brother Prefetito Trujilo, son-in-law Albert Montaño, grandchildren; Elizabeth Thérèse Gonzales, John Paul Gonzales, Christina Grace Gonzales, Eric Trujillo, and great-grandchild Mackenzie Leann Padilla.

Tony is survived by his children Dora Montaño, Tony Trujillo Jr. (Toni), Lena Trujillo-Chavez (Michael), Leonard Trujillo (Joann), Rick Trujillo, Isaac Trujillo, Jeanette Gonzales (Matthew), sisters; Margaret Chavez, Lina Trujillo and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Tony was born on September 6, 1930 at home in Villa Grove, Colorado. When he was in elementary school, the family moved to Aztec, New Mexico. He graduated from Aztec High School in 1949. Upon graduation he entered the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. When he returned to the states, he devoted his time to contracting work in the construction industry. When he wasn’t working his full time job, he was always helping one of his kids, grandkids, relatives or friends with projects. When he had his children in St. Therese Catholic School, there were always projects that Sister Cornelius would call upon him to do. After retirement, he enjoyed playing the slots at the casino, attending Lobo Basketball and Football games, visiting friends and family. Then when he moved in with Lena and Michael, his favorite pastime was eating out, traveling and being on the go!

Tony's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 5:00 pm at St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church located at 3424 4th St., 87107. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. also at St. Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church. Reception will follow Mass at the St. Therese Parish Hall. Committal will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Tony Trujillo, Jr., Leonard Trujillo, Isaac Trujillo, Thomas Trujillo,  Michael Chavez, and Matthew Gonzales.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Rick Trujillo and Joseph Trujillo.
