Vincent Robert William Cordova

Vincent Robert William Cordova, born on May 25, 1949, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024.

Vincent is now reunited with his parents Pete and Delia Cordova, and brother Emilio Cordova in heaven.

He was a compassionate and intelligent individual, a devoted single father to three children: Alyssa Cordova, Antonio Cordova, Amelia Cordova, father to Vanessa from a previous marriage. He loved being a Grandpa to Jonah Gonzales, Desidrio Sanchez. He also leaves behind his brother John Cordova and wife Theresa; sisters: Linda Hernandez and husband Manuel, Helen Wills, Liz, Monica, and Lillian Cordova. He also had a great many nieces and nephews, several Godchildren, and lots of “adopted” kids he took care of along the way.

A proud veteran of the US Army with the rank of Private, Vincent served his country from 1967 to 1970. He was a distinguished college graduate with degrees in Architectural Drafting & Electrical Engineering. Vincent was an employee at Sandia National Labs, LANL, and Holmes & Narver among many others.

Known for his legendary mustache that concealed his top lip, his love of music and his great sense of humor. He had many friends, several of which he’d known since elementary school. Together they visited many of New Mexico’s beautiful lakes enjoying two of Vince’s favorite leisure activities: drinking Bud Light and fishing. His selfless nature was evident in his words, "I don't care as long as my kids are okay."

Vincent will be laid to rest on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N. Guadalupe St, 87501.
